We are situated in the North Coast of Mombasa, within the up-market
Nyali area. Only 20 minutes drive from the airport, 10 minutes
from the City Centre and a stone throw away from the white sandy
beaches of Indian Ocean.
Access
• International and local flights fly into Mombasa through
Moi International Airport.
• Flights from Nairobi to Mombasa take about 1 hour
Transfer from the airport to Makwetu is 20 Minutes.
• Overnight train ride from Nairobi takes 12 hours, and
transfer from the railway station to Makwetu takes 15 minutes.
• For those wishing to enjoy the journey by road, it takes
just over 6 hours from Nairobi to Makwetu.
About Mombasa
Mombasa is Kenya’s second largest city and an important
sea port along the East Coast of Africa. It has a rich history
and Portuguese voyagers first landed in here in 1498. Arab traders
had been using Mombasa long before and the Old Town is still heavily
influenced by Arabic culture.
Climate
Tropical climate with high Humidity levels. Conventional rains
during April and October/November. Hot days average 33°C.
Warm nights average 26°C.
